Nursing is a great career, and extremely rewarding. We prepare you to excel. Our accredited program gets you hands-on, out of the classroom, and into the field. Graduate, take the NCLEX national exam, and start work as a licensed RN in as little as two years. Iowa's Last-Dollar Scholarship may even cover your tuition.

What You Learn in the Nursing Program

Learn to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness. It is remarkable how much you learn in this 22-month program. Enjoy the strong clinical component. You provide direct patient care, attend conferences, observe healthcare teams, and perfect your skills in our nursing simulation lab.

What Can I Do With an Associate's Degree in Nursing?

Pass the RN licensure exam and work as a team with physicians and other healthcare specialists. You can specialize as well. Care for cancer patients as an oncology nurse or elderly patients as a geriatric nurse. RNs coordinate patient care, perform diagnostic tests, work with patients and families to manage illness, and more. You can work in a hospital, doctor’s office, in rehabilitative or home healthcare. Skilled nurses are in-demand throughout the U.S. and world. Be a traveling nurse, or just volunteer, to care for patients in places that need your skills and expertise.
