An employment readiness program offered through Eastern Iowa Community Colleges in partnership with area employers.
What does Career Link Essentials+ offer?
An opportunity for individuals to receive training essential to obtaining employment.
Participants will be awarded:
1. Career Link Competencies Certificate - Awarded to individuals based on their Work Keys scores after completing assessments in:
Reading for Information
2. Career Link Essentials Certificate – Awarded to those who successfully adhere to the strict attendance policy and complete either one of the following:
|Manufacturing Career Link Essentials||Non-Manufacturing Career Link Essentials|
|A 56-hour training program that runs four nights a
week for four weeks.
|A 32-hour training program that runs four days a
week for two weeks.
(Pre requisite – Essentials Competency Certificate)
|10-Hour OSHA Safety Certificate Program||Behaviors in the Workplace|
|Behaviors in the Workplace||Computer Basics|
|Behaviors in the Workplace||Communication|
|Intro to Blue Print Reading||Time Management/Career Exploration & Assessment|

3. Career Link Essentials+ Certificate - Will be awarded to those successfully completing short term certificate programs. Scholarships are available for those meeting eligibility guidelines. There are also specific requirements for entry into each program.
