Module A

This 13-hour course will complete the requirement for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Module A. This Module will cover Criminal Law, HazMat Awareness, Domestic Abuse, and Court Organization.

Module B

This 13-hour course will complete the requirement for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Module B. This module will cover Crisis and Conflict, Vehicle Stop Procedures, Collision Science Control Techniques, Felony Call Procedures, Role of Emergency Communications, and Traffic Directions.

Module C

This 14-hour course will complete the requirement for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Module C. This module will cover Patrol Techniques, Defensive Tactics, Ethics, and Force Management.

Module D

This 13-hour course will complete the requirement for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Module D. Module D covers Juvenile Law, Search and Seizure, Blood Borne Pathogens, Current Drug Trends/Investigation, Weather Preparedness, and Testifying in Court.

Module E

This 15-hour course will complete the requirement for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Module E. This module will cover Cultural Diversity, Civil Liability, Discretion, Precision Driving, Interview and Interrogation, and Laws of Arrest.

Module F
This 12-hour course will complete the requirement for Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Module F. This module will cover Introduction to the Crime Scene, Motor Vehicle Law, Recognizing Impairment, Report Writing, Mandatory Reporting, Working with Your Community, and Community Policing.

NOTE:Payment required at time of registration.  If department is to be billed for enrollment, an authorization to bill department must be faxed to EICC at 441-4053.  Authorization to bill may be done on department letter head and must include name of contact person and phone number.

Refunds and Substitutions -If your plans change, you may cancel your registration up to three calendar days prior to the start of the program.  After that, no refunds will be issued.  You may however, apply the tuition towards another class that meets your scheduling requirements or you may choose a gift certificate in the amount of your class to use within one year of the date issued.   Please note that if you don’t cancel and don’t attend, you are still responsible for payment.
