This Adjunct Application may be completed online or you may print it out, complete it by hand and send it through the U.S. Mail to the applicable college(s).

Note to current SCC adjuncts: as a current adjunct you do not need to send in a new application or resume at this time. Just indicate your interest to Lynne M. HVAC instructor

Qualifications for HVAC instructor will include:

  • Must have a 2-year Applied Technology degree
  • 5 yrs. HVAC-R field experience with residential heating systems or equivalent.


Information Technology instructor (.NET Programming III)

Qualifications for Information Technology instructor will include:

  • Must have a 2-year Applied Technology degree plus 5 yrs. field experience.
  • Must have experience with ASP.net and web application development.

 

 Information Technology instructor (Oracle Academy Database Programming w/PL/SQL)

Qualifications for Information Technology instructor will include:

  • Must have a 2-year Applied Technology degree plus 5 yrs. field experience.
  • Must be Oracle certified, or able to become Oracle certified

 

Information Technology instructor (Server Side Scripting)

Qualifications for Information Technology instructor will include:

  • Must have a 2-year Applied Technology degree plus 5 yrs. field experience.
  • Must have PHP programming and SQL (or MYSQL) experience.

 

Information Technology instructor (Web Development 1)

Qualifications for Information Technology instructor will include:

  • Must have a 2-year Applied Technology degree plus 5 yrs. field experience.
  • Must have experience coding in HTML, HTML5, SML, and Java

 

Information Technology instructor (Printer Maintenance and Repair)

Qualifications for Information Technology instructor will include:

  • Must have a 2-year Applied Technology degree plus 5 yrs. field experience.
  • Hardware experience preferred.



Welding Instructors
Qualifications for Welding Instructors will include:

  • Associate of Arts degree in Welding required.  Journeyman’s card preferred.
  • 6,000 hours of relevant and recent work experience in welding field required.
  • AWS CWI/CWE credentials preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, metallurgy, applied math, blueprint reading and reading welding symbols.


Mathematics Instructor
Qualifications for Mathematics Instructor will include:

  • A Master’s degree in Mathematics or a master’s degree with at least 18 GSH in a combination of the qualifying fields:  Math Education, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or Physics.
  • Spring semester 2017 (8 weeks) – Mon-Fri. 8:10 -9:30a.m.



Welding Instructors
Qualifications for Welding Instructors will include:

  • Associate of Arts degree in Welding required.  Journeyman’s card preferred.
  • 6,000 hours of relevant and recent work experience in welding field required.
  • AWS CWI/CWE credentials preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, metallurgy, applied math, blueprint reading and reading welding symbols.

 

World & Regional Geography instructor
Qualifications for GEO-121  World & Regional Geography instructor will include: -

  • Master's degree in Geography.  


Cancer Pathophysiology, Cancer Patient Follow-Up, ICD-10-PCS
Qualifications for  instructors will include:

  • Cancer Pathophysiology -  CTR Certification, three years experience abstracting, familiar with online learning.
  • Cancer Patient Follow-Up – CTR Certification, three years experience abstracting, familiar with online learning.
  • ICD-10-PCS – ICD-10-PCS Trainer or 3 years hospital coding experience or coding certification for ICD-10-PCS.  Must be familiar with online learning.



American Sign Language I, American Sign Language II, American Sign Language V,  IT Networking/ Programming/Web Development/ Database, Thermodynamics, Engineering I

  • IT - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in related field or 3 yrs. industry experience in IT.

  • Engineering - Master’s degree in Engineering or a master’s degree with at least 18 GSH in a combination of mathematics, nanoscience, or physics.

  • Thermodynamics - Master’s degree in Engineering or a master’s degree with at least 18 GSH in a combination of mathematics, nanoscience, or physics.

  • American Sign Language - Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3 yrs. of related experience.

 

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges – SCC (Scott Community College) and Kahl campuses are seeking Part-time Instructors for the following areas: Speech, Public Speaking.  

Qualifications for Public Speaking Instructors will include:

  • Masters Degree in Communication or a Masters Degree and 18 GSH in a qualifying field with 12 of those hours in speech.

 

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges – SCC (Scott Community College) are seeking Part-time Instructors for the following areas:  Physical Science, Chemistry.      

Qualifications for Chemistry Instructors will include:

  • Either a Masters Degree of Chemistry, or a Masters Degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in Chemistry.
 
 
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges – SCC (Scott Community College) are seeking Part-time Instructors for the following areas: Domestic Heating, Electrical Controls & Circuitry, Trade Skills II.

Qualifications for Domestic Heating instructors will include:

  • Five or more years of HVAC-R field experience working with residential heating systems or equivalent.

Qualifications for Electrical Controls & Circuitry instructors will include:

  • Five years or more of HVAC-R field experience working with residential heating systems or equivalent.

Qualifications for Trade Skills II instructors will include:

  • Five years or more of HVAC-R field experience working with residential heating systems or equivalent.

 

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges – SCC (Scott Community College) are seeking Part-time Instructors for the following areas: Electrical 1, Basic Electricity.

Qualifications for Electrical 1 instructors will include:

  • Either a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3 years of documented full time employment in the field.
  • ASE Certified in electrical

Qualifications for Basic Electricity instructors will include:

  • Either a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 3 years of documented full time employment in the field.
  • ASE Certified in electrical

 

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges – SCC (Scott Community College) are seeking Part-time Instructors for the following area: Java.

Qualifications for Java instructors will include:

  • AAS and 3-years experience in Java or BA

Nursing
RN designation and a Masters Degree; needed for classroom and clinical supervision.
